Mr. Songyot Wanpen, the director of the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Division of the Krabi Provincial Administrative Organization, highlighted the significance of June 5th, recognized worldwide as World Environment Day. Drawing inspiration from the global observance, Krabi Province will host a series of engaging activities to foster a sense of responsibility towards environmental conservation. These initiatives will include contests for slogans, essays, drawings, paintings, photos, and short video clips, along with a thrilling band contest aimed at spreading awareness.

The purpose of these contests is to encourage children, youth, and the general public to actively engage in safeguarding natural resources and the environment. The organizers have allocated prize money for the winners, providing an incentive for participants to wholeheartedly embrace the cause of conservation.

To ensure a wide range of ideas and perspectives, Mr. Songyot emphasized the importance of involving children and youth in expressing their innovative concepts and means of participation. The event will feature a total of seven contest activities, inviting individuals to submit their entries from May 17th to May 23rd, 2023.
