Australian social media star Luke Erwin recently posted a heartwarming video on TikTok that showcased the kindness of a Phuket fruit vendor. In the short clip, Erwin decided to test the vendor’s generosity by requesting free fruit since he was hungry and without any money. Surprisingly, the vendor immediately agreed and kindly sliced a ripe mango, packing it in a bag to offer to Erwin.
Amidst disbelief, Erwin repeatedly questioned the vendor, asking if he was certain that no payment was required. However, the vendor insisted on giving the mango as a gesture of goodwill, completely free of charge.
Later in the video, Erwin disclosed that it had all been an experiment and attempted to offer the vendor a substantial sum of 2,000 baht as a token of appreciation. Yet, the humble vendor insisted on accepting only 50 baht for the mango. Despite Erwin’s insistence, the vendor’s genuine act of kindness prevailed.
The TikTok video quickly gained traction among Thai viewers, who praised the vendor’s benevolence, showcasing the generosity that is often associated with Thai people.
