The Move Forward Party (MFP) has revealed its plans to disband the Anti-Fake News Center and initiate a comprehensive restructuring of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society if it assumes power in the next government.
In a recent online announcement, the MFP outlined its proposed changes, emphasizing the importance of preserving rights, freedoms, and open access to information. The party firmly believes that it is not the state’s role to dictate the truth, but rather to foster a society where diverse perspectives can be examined, debated, and presented.
Under the MFP’s envisioned government, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society would no longer be responsible for website blocking. Instead, the focus would shift towards safeguarding rights and freedoms. The party plans to introduce a computer bill aimed at removing state powers that hinder freedom of expression.
Furthermore, the MFP pledged to advocate for a single digital identity policy that would integrate databases from various state agencies. This policy aims to streamline access to public services, ensuring convenience and ease of use for citizens.
In terms of economic growth, the party emphasized the necessity of developing the country’s information technology infrastructure. As part of this plan, a comprehensive database would be established, consolidating information from both state agencies and the private sector. Stringent safety measures would be implemented to protect individuals’ private information while allowing public access to foster economic and social benefits.
Transparency in government operations is also a priority for the MFP. The party vowed to create an open system for disclosing information about state procurement projects, making the details easily accessible and subject to scrutiny.
