Thailand Announces New 60-Day Visa Exemption for 93 Countries

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin’s recent social media announcement outlines Thailand’s forthcoming visa reforms aimed at boosting tourism and accommodating specialized visitors. These reforms include granting a 60-day visa exemption to citizens of 93 countries and territories, along with a visa on arrival for those from 31 countries and territories.

In alignment with Thailand’s “Ignite Thailand” initiative, the government will introduce a 180-day visa designed for digital nomads, participants in muay thai and Thai cooking courses, attendees of seminars, organizers of music festivals, participants in art exhibitions, and individuals seeking medical treatments. This visa, valid for five years with multiple entries, will be available for a fee of 10,000 baht and can be extended once for an additional 180 days through the Immigration Bureau.

These measures are part of Thailand’s strategy to leverage its recent recognition as the fourth most beautiful country globally by World of Statistics, aiming to attract a diverse array of tourists and professionals. For further details, citizens are encouraged to consult official government channels.
