More than 5,000 runners gathered at Pattaya Beach to participate in the Pattaya International Bikini Beach Race 2024, an annual event combining sport, entertainment, and tourism. Held at sunset, the beachside event was launched by Pattaya City Mayor Pramet Ngampichet, alongside officials from Central Pattana Public Company Limited, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and other local partners.
Now in its eighth year, this vibrant 5-kilometer race promotes Pattaya as a leading beach destination, aiming to boost tourism and support local businesses. Organized by Central Pattaya Shopping Mall in collaboration with public and private partners, the event is billed as Thailand’s biggest beach run, bringing together fitness enthusiasts and tourists in a festive atmosphere.
The 2024 race also featured a substantial prize pool of over 300,000 THB for top runners. Beyond the competition, the event encouraged participants to embrace both physical and mental wellness, while showcasing Pattaya’s appeal as a global beach destination.
The race concluded with a lively after-party concert featuring popular local bands Jazz, Spooknick, Papiyong, and Kuk Kuk, adding a celebratory end to the evening and enhancing the event’s role in drawing visitors and stimulating the local economy.
