LIMA, PERU — Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra of Thailand arrived in Lima on November 14 to participate in the 35th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit. The summit, held at the Swissotel Lima, will run from November 14 to November 17, gathering economic leaders and ministers from across the Asia-Pacific region.
Upon her arrival, Prime Minister Shinawatra was greeted by Thailand’s Commerce Minister Phichai Naripthaphan. The summit’s agenda focuses on enhancing regional trade, investment cooperation, and sustainable development, topics of particular interest to Thailand.
In the afternoon, Minister Phichai is scheduled to engage in bilateral talks with South Korean Trade Minister Cheong Inkyo, discussing potential areas for economic collaboration. Later, Minister Phichai will meet with Algernon Yau, Hong Kong’s Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, to explore further trade and economic development opportunities between Thailand and Hong Kong.
