Leopard Cub Debuts at Chiang Mai Night Safari

A male leopard cub was introduced to the public by Chiang Mai Night Safari on 22 May, marking a notable addition to its wildlife population. The cub, named Nong Phaendin—translated as “Little Land”—was born on 27 March to leopard parents Summer and Meili.

Officials report that the cub is in good health and is currently learning to walk and jump, showing signs of normal development and environmental adaptation. His birth is viewed as a positive outcome for ongoing wildlife conservation efforts at the facility.

The Chiang Mai Night Safari, located in northern Thailand, frequently engages in breeding programs aimed at sustaining and protecting endangered species. The arrival of Nong Phaendin contributes to these long-term initiatives.

The announcement was made by Thitirat Tawanwong, Director of the Chiang Mai Night Safari Office.
