SRT Launches Scenic Tourist Train Routes for June 2025

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has rolled out two themed tourist train programs for June 2025, offering scenic escapes packed with culture, history, and local experiences in Western and Central Thailand.

Starting May 28, tickets for both the weekend Royal Blossom trips and the overnight KIHA 183 journeys are available nationwide and via SRT’s D-Ticket platform.

The Royal Blossom service operates day trips from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi every weekend. Travelers will ride the famed Death Railway, taking in sights such as the Bridge over the River Kwai and Krasae Cave, before stepping back in time at Mallika City—a living museum that recreates life in early 20th-century Siam. Each trip includes meals, a guided tour, and air-conditioned transportation.

The KIHA 183 program features two overnight journeys aboard Japanese-style rolling stock. The first trip, June 14–15, travels to Ratchaburi, with stops at Khao Ngu Stone Park, local caves, a sheep farm, and Ophoiy Market, finishing with a relaxing visit to a hot spring and forest café.

The second journey, June 28–29, revisits Kanchanaburi, blending history and leisure. Highlights include the River Kwai Bridge, an onboard musical performance, bamboo rafting on the Khwae River, and exploration of a WWII-era cave. Both KIHA 183 tours include meals, accommodation, and full tour support.
