On June 26, 2025, SEED Thailand marked its fifth anniversary with the launch of its new campaign, My Future Hometown, aiming to engage youth in sustainable local development initiatives across the country.
The SEED Project Thailand, in collaboration with the Government Lottery Office (GLO), has introduced its 2025 programme under the banner My Future Hometown, with the goal of empowering young Thais to take active roles in improving their communities. The launch event was held at GLO’s Bangkok headquarters and emphasized youth-led solutions through leadership, creativity, and local engagement.
The campaign encourages participants to leverage digital tools and social media to tell stories of their communities while addressing local challenges. Organisers highlighted that fostering critical thinking and civic awareness among youth is essential to long-term, sustainable development.
A panel of speakers, many of whom are alumni of the SEED programme, shared personal accounts of how their involvement led to social entrepreneurship and creative community work. These included a young bakery founder using native ingredients to boost local economies and a digital content strategist who underscored the importance of AI-assisted storytelling.
The launch concluded with a keynote urging youth to embody the principles of citizenship, wisdom, and humility as they work toward collective progress.
In attendance were SEED Thailand’s executive director, government representatives, former programme participants, and advisors. The event served as a milestone in SEED’s continued partnership with public institutions and civil society groups.
