Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra held talks with TL International CEO Bruno Vanwelsenaers at Government House to discuss the possibility of hosting Tomorrowland Thailand in 2026. The meeting, revealed in a social media post on June 26, builds on earlier efforts initiated by former Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin.
The Prime Minister confirmed that the project remains in the study and preparation phase, but emphasized the government’s ambition for Thailand to serve not only as a host location but as the cultural centerpiece of the event. She highlighted the importance of integrating Thai identity, arts, and communities into the festival to ensure maximum benefit for the local economy and creative sector.
Framing the project within Thailand’s broader soft power strategy, the Prime Minister stated that the festival could serve as a catalyst for growth in the domestic music industry, provide a platform for Thai artists, and attract global attention. The initiative also aligns with the government’s goal of positioning Thailand as a “World Event Destination.”
If realized, Tomorrowland Thailand 2026 would represent a major milestone for the country’s entertainment and tourism sectors, offering new economic and creative opportunities across multiple industries.
