German Couple Injured in Khao Lak Home Invasion
A German couple was injured in the early hours of October 11, 2025, after an intruder broke into their residence in Khao Lak, Phang Nga province, and attacked them with a liquor bottle, according to local police. The incident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. in a house located on Soi Khao Wong, Moo 3, Khuekkhak subdistrict, Takua Pa district.
Police Lt. Col. Jaran Srirak of Khao Lak Police Station received the initial report shortly after 2:00 a.m. Officers responding to the scene found a liquor bottle and traces of blood on the bed and bedroom floor. Investigators concluded that the assailant had entered the property by removing a roof tile at the back of the house and accessing the kitchen through a ceiling panel.
The victims, identified as Mr. Thomas, 61, and his wife, Mrs. Beate, 58, were taken to Khao Lak Medical Center, where they were treated for head injuries sustained during the attack. According to their statements, they were asleep when the intruder entered the home, struck both of them on the head, and then escaped through a kitchen window toward the rear of the property. The couple told police they did not see the attacker’s face but briefly caught sight of the figure from behind.
Phang Nga Provincial Forensic Officers have been called to collect DNA samples, fingerprints, and other evidence from the scene. The case is being led by Police Lt. Col. Jaran, under the supervision of Police Lt. Col. Sommot Saengsawat, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation at Khao Lak Police Station.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to identify the suspect and determine the motive behind the assault, Khaosod English reported.
