Tour Bus Crash in Nakhon Ratchasima Injures 41

A tour bus carrying 51 passengers collided with a parked truck on the Friendship Highway in Nakhon Ratchasima province on the evening of October 20, leaving dozens injured and two women trapped inside the wreckage.

The accident occurred around 10:10 p.m. in the Klong Dong area, near Mae Chompoo Restaurant in Phayayen Subdistrict. According to initial reports, the bus—registered in Kanchanaburi—experienced complete brake failure, causing it to veer off course and crash into a stationary truck with an attached trailer parked along the roadside.

Emergency responders arriving on the scene found two women critically injured and trapped within the bus. Rescue teams deployed cutting tools to free them from the wreckage. First responders administered initial aid, and ambulances transported the injured to nearby hospitals for further treatment. Authorities confirmed that 41 individuals required medical attention. Among them, two sustained life-threatening injuries, while six others were reported to be in serious condition. Most of the remaining passengers were treated for minor injuries and not expected to be admitted overnight.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Auaychai Promwong of Klong Dong Police Station is leading the investigation into the incident. Officials are working to determine whether mechanical failure, driver error, or other factors contributed to the crash.
